I am pleased to offer end-to-end web design and development, based on standards compliant & browser friendly technologies.

My design and layout skills are built on a foundation of fine art and illustration disciplines, and I’ve taught myself and learned on-the-job the set of programming skills I rely on to carry a layout into a clean, attractive, and reliable user experience.

Rates

When I work on contract for an agency or an established business, I aim at $35/hr. I am known to be flexible on this for consistent ongoing opportunities.

When I’m working with smaller clients, I tend to work on a project basis, adhering in degrees to a package pricing structure you can view here.

Composition and revision of new and existing animated and interactive display ads- this occurs within a framework of extreme file size limits (30 kb for swfs) and layout issues relating to the strengths and limitations of the company's ad customization tool. Also designed corporate-partnered landing pages, html emails and print ad design.

In this position I was responsible for design, documentation and printing of promotional and in-office materials for seven separate departments within the corporation. I maintained the company Intranet, participated in marketing team meetings on a regular basis, and even put together a preliminary re-branding scheme for the Chief Marketing Officer. I taught office software to company staff — Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Word and Outlook. I was responsible for maintaining a number of significant vendor relationships, and worked directly with the executive department heads and leads.

I was responsible for creation and resizing of pre-created color, duotone, and black & white ads for all of the Business Journal's advertisers. I also managed the html website, archiving copy from the journal every month. All of this was done on a Mac G4 Tower from 1997. ugh.
